Sunliner RV Monte Carlo
Question: Discuss about theSunliner RV Monte Carlo. Answer: Introduction The Australian automobile industry is known for a global ability to design unique and high-quality vehicles that meet the leisure needs as well as desires of not only Australians but the global market (Ritter 2014, p. 131). Sunliner RV is a family owned business and a motorhome range manufacturer based in Melbourne city that designs a considerable variety of designs and layouts of campervans in Australia. The models of the company range from the range-topping luxury Monte Carlo to Toyota Hilux-based PRVs (Malcolm 2013). This paper presents a literature analysis and review of a reflection regarding Sunliner Monte Carlo that is regarded as one of the oldest caravan manufacturers in Melbourne State. The paper focuses on the primary features the manufacturer provides to its customers making in unique not only in Melbourne but the global market in regard its sales in renting the campervans. It evaluates the product range, the concept of innovation design, its performance, as well as the u nique features and their functions. The Monte Carlo is a luxurious motorhome that is specifically designed for the most discerning traveller (Walsh 2016, p. 33). It is a flagship of the Sunliner RV range of recreational vehicles that is tailored to a unique journey with a contemporary design and a distinctive class. For the motorhome to be effective and beautiful, it as well needs to come from the best of the design process. Sunliner hence first claim an industry in recreational road travel as a result of the introduction of the modular construction process that has combined a home system and a vehicle derived from some of the most advanced global industrial sectors (Malcolm 2013). Monte Carlo has thus pursued an aesthetic quality as well as unmatched design and technical reliability that have achieved a high level of productive efficiency from construction to the onboard system. Product Range The design and construction of Monte Carlo show a clear understanding there is no function without for and no form without function (Fujimoto 2014, p. 9). Sunliner Company as well provides different layout and design of the Monte Carlo depending on the chassis option adopted. For instance, it has Monte Carlo MC1, MC2, MC3, and MC4 that varies in their design and license as reporred by Australian Motor homes (2013). The motorhomes have three base choices of vehicles i.e. Mitsubishi Fuso, Iveco Daily, and Isuzu campervans. The Inveco comes with a flat floor design giving the driver a swivelling seat feature. Innovation Design and Concept According to Malcolm (2013), Monte Carlo is built on the use of a Sunliners fibreglass composite that is known to have a thermo tough structure. It has nicely moulded rear and front ends and offers a single slide-out that is located just behind the cab of the driver. It also has interesting roof mounted side bars that are presumed to add to beauty in its design. Below the beautiful design is an innovative engineering, meticulous detail attention, and cutting-edge construction techniques. Malcolm (2013) denotes that with a length of over nine meters and laden with sophisticated technologies available has made Monte Carlo to be a no compromise luxurious touring vehicle. What makes it technologically unique is the space created by the four sliding walls that move from a push of a button that gives a traveler a personal spacious apartment on wheels. With a zoned living approach applied in its design, Monte Carlo has a separate living, bedroom, and bathroom areas. These rooms offer the same function and level of privacy within the Monte Carlo as one may require at home (Sunliner Monte Carlo website). Performance Malcolm (2013) denotes that with approximately 9.5 meters in length, Monte Carlo is surely a long vehicle that may appear difficult to drive. However, it is quite a pleasure while navigating corners or overtaking as it is fitted with a turbo-diesel motor that has 3.0 litre 130Kw power balance suitable for on- and off-road journeys. An Invesco-based motorhome is a six-speed automated manual transmission that makes it smoother hence suiting the heavyweight of all the appliances that makes up the motorhome (Schraw 2014, p. 260). Monte Carlo is as well considered under the category of the light rigid truck of driving license as it has a tare weight of approximately 5495kg with a 700kg GVM. The best performing model of Monte Carlo is the Isuzu NQR 450 that carries the name and recognition title as the customers favourite track in Melbourne and Australia as a whole (Lavigne 2016, p. 27). The Isuzu N series is considered to be the best light truck for over 25 years (Knittel 2010). It dominant lead has been earned from its drivability, performance, low operation cost, comfort, and above all legendary reliability (Sunliner 2015). It has a standard road resistance system, traction control, stability control, and anti-lock brakes making it suitable for both off-road and on-road effective operations. Features and Function It is characterized by an extensive list of very standard features as well as two slides out compartments that make it classy and luxurious. From the Australian Motor Homes report (2016) Monte Carlo is built on An Iveco 70C17 chassis and comes with many cab features that make the user comfortable and safe as possible. Some of these features include central locking, cab air conditioning, ABS brakes, airbags, power windows, reversing camera fixed with a GPS, and power steering. The first slide out area is designed just behind the cab to comfortably hold a centered dinette and a well-designed L shaped lounge. The slide is mainly aimed at creating an extra room that can be used to entertain visitors. Opposite the slide, space is the location of the kitchen that is equipped with different food staff from fruits to snacks, drinks, etc. Within the kitchen is an L-shaped bench that holds the stove and the sink for cooking purposes (Malcolm 2013). The stove is designed with a lid that assists the user in maximizing the bench space while the stove is not in use. Below the bench is a two-slide out pantries designed to fit with a drawer to store the kitchen appliances or even drain water during travel. Overhead is a window and a range of hood that helps in providing plenty of air in the cooking process so as to avoid suffocation according to Sunler (2016). A two door is located next to the kitchen with a fridge that is used to keep fresh all the food supply during the travel. Other Monte Carlo has an overhead microwave for use in the kitchen. The bathroom is designed towards the rear together with a toilet and a vanity within the same room while the shower is located on the opposite outside wall Malcolm (2010). The bathroom door is used as the privacy door for the bedroom. The second slide out is designed at the rear where it mainly hosts the island bed used for rejuvenating night sleep. Below the bed is a storage space that can be used when necessary. Other features of Monte Carlo also include CD player, electric entry step, TV, washing machi ne, diesel heater, entertainment unit, solar, inverter, stereo, tow bar, etc. In conclusion, Sunliner has shown a great technological design of the current global innovation that has transformed the travel industry through the construction of the campervans. Monte Carlo offers a luxurious and beautiful travel space with the classy looking exterior, trickery kitchen cabinet, a well designed electrical system, generous ventilation window, and relatively easy driving despite the length. It is has a usable interior as well as a slide-out closed that gives more space and offers privacy just like a home. However, there are also a few disadvantages that come with the technology. For instance, the microwave is very high-positioned making it comfortable for use by taller individuals. It also has a swivelling seat for the driver with specific color schemes internally that may not be of preference to the user. The external bin size is also smaller. However, it offers the opportunity of travelling in a recreational vehicle as the company offers extensive range such as mot orhomes, new 5th wheelers, and new campervans that are supplied to a global network of dealers. For over forty years, Sunliner RV has often set the standard for the Australian automobile industry for innovation and quality in RV manufacturing. It has become among the leading Australian manufacturers in campervans and motorhomes as a result of teamwork, a dedication that has led to customer recognition and a brand name.
